Behind BYD

Laxmi started BYD because she is passionate about taking complex ideas, breaking them down to their fundamentals and rebuilding them back up to unlock new revenue streams and uncover growth opportunities. The clarity in her business models have received funding from leading venture capitalists and enabled companies to increase pricing, attract more customers and build on additional services.


As a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, she led high-profile projects seeking to acquire, integrate or replace current or new programs. She served as an expert in financial modeling, business case analysis, asset management and risk management influencing key strategic decisions on complex engineering programs. She holds a Masters degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University.
